JBCE welcomes the intention of the EU Commission to develop a more ambitious proposal on Circular Economy later this year.
As part of its contribution to this outcome, JBCE responded to the Public Consultation on Circular Economy launched by the European Commission.
In addition to JBCE’s cross-sectorial response, JBCE member companies—who together represent all stages of the product lifecycle—issued a position paper with key messages regarding potential future policy and legislative initiatives.
Such policies should be complemented by technical standards.
JBCE will continue to closely follow the development of a new Circular Economy Package and provide its views on workable solutions to realise a truly circular economy.
