As part of the on-going revision of the the Ecodesign of Energy-related Products (Directive 2009/125/EC) and Ecodesign regulation on fans (327/2011/EU), JBCE together with DIGITALEUROPE, EPEE, CECED, EHI and JRAIA have issued a joint position paper on 28th April 2015, calling for the exemption of spare parts, which should be according to the “repair as produce principle” (as applied in the RoHS and ELV Directives) and for the removal of ecodesign requirements for fans incorporated into products and the information requirement for these fans.

Following a request for concrete data from the European Commission side, we have quantitatively provided actual data supporting our position.

The papers also argue that Centrifugal Forward Curved(FC) fans should not be merged with Centrifugal Backward Curved (BC) fans.
